KORPIKLAANI Begin Recording New Album

November 17, 2005

Finnish folk metallers KORPIKLAANI entered the studio on November 14 to begin recording their third full-length album, "Tales along This Road". The CD will be released in March 2006 on Napalm Records.

The recording sessions for the new album will be interrupted for a couple of weeks by the second leg of the band's European tour. The tour highlights will include a show at the Czech's Winter Masters Of Rock with HAMMERFALL and STRATOVARIUS on Decemebr 3 and a charity concert for sexually abused children in Celle, Germany on November 26. The European tour to support the release of KORPIKLAANI's upcoming album will begin March 30 and last approximately three weeks. European festival appearances during the 2006 summer season are also in the works: 10 confirmed festival gigs, as well as ongoing negotiations for further dates.

KORPIKLAANI's second album under their current moniker (the group released two albums as SHAMAN),"Voice of Wilderness", was released last January via Napalm Records.
